All wrapped up

One of the treatments we do in the spa is really helpful for reducing breathing problems, and encouraging the body to detox. It is also an extremely relaxing treatment which has shown to help the body produce the right chemicals.

An aromatherapy wrap can be helpful to people with all sorts of lung and sinus problems.

Firstly the body is brushed with a dry natural bristle body brush, this is effective in helping move and release any lymphatic stagnation. The lymphatics are part of our immune system, and can easily become sluggish, as it doesn’t have a pump system like the circulatory system, especially if you lead a more sedentary life.

Secondly the body get exfoliated with sea salt and essential oils, this encourages the exfoliation of dead cells (the skin as our largest detoxification organ), encouraging the circulation which carries more oxygen and nutrients to the cells.

Next a cleansing warm shower.

Warm body oils with essentials oils (chosen especially to enhance the lung and immune function) are smoothed over the body, you are all wrapped up and a warm blanket is placed over you. Cocooned and warm you are left to relax as the essentials will enter the blood stream in 20 minutes or so. Essential oils are highly therapeutic plant compounds that enter straight into the blood stream from the skin, used for centuries in many different countries.

Finally, you receive a massage, it has been well documented how excellent a massage is for so many conditions.

Essential oils continue to work for up 7 hours after application, so in order you get the best results do not shower until the next morning.

You will sleep really well.

If this sounds all too much for you, then an aromatherapy massage might suit better with the essential oils that help the lung and immune function.
