Is housework making your arthritis worse?

Sonia Jones ND from The Haven Spa and Alternative Treatment Clinic

Some people find their asthma, or aches and pains get worse or they get a headache after cleaning the house, due to a number of chemicals some people are sensitive to. Once they change to all natural cleaning products many symptoms clear up or at the very least improve dramatically.

We now have sprays for cleaning glass, sprays for cleaning the kitchen counter tops, sprays for the stainless steel appliances, sprays for the wooden furniture, sprays for dusting, sprays for making the carpet smell ‘nice’, sprays for masking smells, sprays for cleaning the shower, which is a different spray to cleaning the bath. All that spraying is causing a huge chemical cocktail of atoms you are breathing in, causing irritation to the delicate and sensitive lining of the lungs.

If you or your children have asthma or other allergies throw out all your products today. Start buying natural eco-friendly, human-friendly cleaning products. Initially they seem more expensive but in no time you will be saving money and the health of your family.

Buy microfiber cloths that pick up the dust easily and efficiently without having to use a chemical spray.

For washing the dishes change to eco-friendly natural dish washing liquid.

For the laundry it is easy to buy synthetic fragrant free washing powder or liquid detergents. Avoid fabric softeners, add a few drops of essential oil to a hankicheif and place in the dryer.

Avoid dry cleaning whenever possible, however if you have to get something dry cleaned take the clothes out of the plastic cover a soon as possible, and leave it hanging out to air in front of an open window for a while.

All sorts of natural cleaning products are now easily found in supermarkets making it convenient for you to go green.
